After completing a brief training period as an Assistant Director and Casting Assistant, I embarked on my freelance career and established Studio t in 1985. Throughout the extensive span of my career, I have witnessed the evolution of the casting profession, both within Italy and on the international stage. This journey has cultivated a genuine passion for mastering the multifaceted aspects of this captivating profession.<\/p>

My expertise ranges from engaging A-list actors in projects to discovering and nurturing emerging talent, encompassing street casting to casting for major international co-productions. Over the years, I have had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed directors such as Bille August, Liliana Cavani, Manuel De Olivera, Ildiko Enyedi, David Garth, Lasse Hallstrom, Oliver Hirschbiegel, Marco Risi, Martin Scorsese, Ridley Scott, Ben Stiller and Jessica Woodworth.<\/p>

I am a member of the Italian Casting Directors Union (UICD<\/a>), of the Casting Society of America (CSA<\/a>) and the International Casting Directors Association (ICDA). I am member of theAcademy of Italian Cinema<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0European Film Academy<\/a>.<\/p>

My collaboration with Studio-t dates back to 1994 when, at a very young age, I joined the staff as a cameraman. By attending all the auditions in this way, I began to get passionate about the craft: from knowing the actors, understanding their characteristics and evaluating their talent to knowing how to direct them during the audition to help them give their best. <\/span><\/p>

Beginning to take care of the organization and implementation of the casting becomes a priority for me. The transition is gradual, I leave the camera and become an assistant, then the growth path leads me to prepare and direct the first advertising castings;<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

initially the simpler ones and gradually, with the acquisition of greater skills, the more complicated and full of characters. After a quarter of a century, advertising castings, even those with the most bizarre requests, are now daily bread.<\/span><\/p>

In the meantime I became a partner of the studio and I started collaborating with Lilia also in the preparation and realization of film and television castings, from \"Eat Pray Love<\/i>\u201d by Ryan Murphy to \u201cMary Magdalene<\/i>\u201d by David Garth, to \u201cKilling Eve<\/i>\u201d, until \u201cFrancesco<\/i>\u201d by Liliana Cavani and \u201cL\u2019Aquila<\/i>\u201d by\u00a0 Marco Risi.<\/span><\/p>

I have always been passionate about cinema, so much so that since I was a teenager I wanted to enter this world professionally. After graduating in Film History and Criticism, attending a directing course at New York University and an acting course with Susan Strasberg, I begin to work as a volunteer in the direction department on film sets with collaborations with Studio-t.<\/span><\/p>

At first on camera, then slowly moving on to direct the cast. Soon I become an assistant director and I often happen to add to this role that of casting director. Over the years I have gained valuable experience working for many international directors such as Ridley Scott, David Lynch, Jane Campion, Anthony Minghella, Takata Masahiro, Kosai Sekine, Jane Campion, Garth Davis, and with actors such as Gerard Depardieu, Philippe Noiret, Sharon Stone, Keira Knightley , Richard Gere and Sophia Loren.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2005 I started my activity as a film maker, with works ranging from short film to music video, from documentary to video art. \u201cLin Fei\u201d, a short film about a Taiji master who emigrated to the city of Rome, was competing in various international festivals. \"Slowly\", a video installation, was presented during the 2010 edition of the contemporary art exhibition, Adrenalina.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

My feature film project \"The Egg<\/a>\"Was selected to be presented at the Asian Project Market, at the Busan International Film Festival 2018, in South Korea.<\/span><\/p>

Always passionate about cinema, I started working during my studies at the University, dealing with casting, shootings and sometimes editing. <\/span><\/p>

However, casting is my greatest passion, infact \u201cCasting as Strategic Element of the Audio-Visual Production\u201d was the title of my Masters degree. <\/span><\/p>

I started my collaboration with Studio t in January 2007, first as a trainee and then as an assistant in Italian and international casting, both in advertising and in cinema.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Throughout the years, gaining more\nexperience, I have personally followed some castings.<\/p>

Always convinced that each role, from the simplest to the most complex one, is unique and fundamental and it should be found accurately, even sometimes proposing someone \u2018\u2019out of the box\u201d.<\/p>

I think that is crucial to meet and know as many actors as possible, especially talented young people, and discover them at theatres, academies, and even in unusual places. In\naddition to this, another essential aspect is to be always up to date of the latest film productions.<\/p>

I consider it a wonderful job.<\/p>
