Orizzonte is a gigantic cruise ship with five thousand people on board, including passengers and crew. On the first evening, twenty-eight African migrants are rescued from the sea. For those fleeing poverty, hunger, and wars, the Orizzonte is salvation. For the passengers, the encounter with the shipwreck survivors is a harsh dose of reality they probably could have done without. Because the migrants' discovery that the ship is heading to North Africa, from where they are escaping, prompts them to hijack the ship, turning the cruise into a battleground where all the conflicts unleashed by migrations will unfold.
